Meet Maryam

Maryam Miller

Maryam Miller paints modern landscapes inspired by the places she and her collectors return to and hold close. Her work focuses less on documenting a scene and more on capturing the memory and feeling of being there, quiet moments that encourage presence.

Through scale and space, her paintings often reference the smallness of humans within the natural world, serving as reminders to slow down and keep meaningful places close.

She splits her time between Silverthorne, Colorado and La Jolla, California, balancing studio work with co-running Near & Far, a gallery based in Vail.

Much of her work is informed by time spent outdoors — skiing, hiking, cycling to name a few — and by living between landscapes that continue to shape how she thinks about place, movement, and home.
